An after school program in rural Maine with a mission to promote Positive Youth Development through non-electronic games and community involvement. The program goals are to guide young people age 6-18 to become confident, competent, caring, contributing and connected adults. Youth who attend the Game Loft’s programs are given opportunities to serve their community and gaming experiences that lead to increased knowledge and understanding of themselves and the world.Game Loft’s out-of-school programs are FREE to all youth ages 6-18.
Set up the Uganda Village Boardgame and Science Convention for children aged 8-15 at its rural Secondary School in Northern Uganda. With a range of science-orientated games for all to play, the convention helps children at all local Primary and Secondary schools to come together and have a chance to work on scientific experiments during the boardgame convention.
If you can recommend any initiatives that could use support please reach out and let us know. We can't promise we'll support them all, but we are unlikely to come across them by ourselves unaided.
